Soroptimist is an international women’s organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world. Almost 95,000 Soroptimists in about 120 countries and territories contribute time and financial support to community-based and international projects that benefit women and girls. After hearing the devastating news that Vision House, a non-profit organization that provides housing and support for dozens of homeless women and their children, had their food bank broken into last week, the board members of Soroptimist Int'l of Seattle South quickly voted unanimously to donate $10,000 from our recent fundraiser to Vision House so they could replenish their stock in time for Christmas.
